We're especially excited to bring WAAHP to San Diego, located in the heart of our largest membership state. The conference will be held at The Westin San Diego Gaslamp Quarter, providing easy access to downtown San Diego, the waterfront, dining, and local attractions.
Hotel reservation information and the WAAHP room block will be available when registration opens. Whether you're a new advisor, a seasoned professional, or a partner in health professions education, we hope you'll join us!

Travel Grants
Need help getting to San Diego?
WAAHP is pleased to offer a limited number of travel grants to help support members attending the 2027 WAAHP Regional Conference.
Travel grants are are intended to help reduce financial barriers to conference participation and may help offset eligible conference-related expenses such as registration, transportation, and lodging.
Applications open: September 1, 2026
Applications close: November 30, 2026
Recipients notified: December 15, 2026
Because funding is limited, submitting an application does not guarantee an award. We encourage WAAHP members who would benefit from financial assistance in attending the conference to apply.
Share Your Knowledge
WAAHP conferences are built around the knowledge, creativity, and experience of our community. We invite advisors and partners to consider sharing their work, ideas, promising practices, and expertise with colleagues from across the region.
The WAAHP 2027 Call for Proposals opens October 1, 2026, with opportunities for sessions addressing foundational advising practices, challenging student situations, equity and access, advisor development, innovative programs and tools, and emerging trends across the health professions.
Proposal submission deadline: November 8, 2026

Become a Sponsor
Our sponsors and exhibitors are an essential part of the WAAHP conference community. Sponsorship provides an opportunity to connect directly with pre-health advisors, health professions programs, and organizations from across the western region while supporting professional development for the advisors who serve future health professionals.
Sponsor Commitment Deadline: January 21, 2027. Sponsors are encouraged to commit by January 21 to maximize recognition and inclusion in preliminary conference materials. Opportunities may remain available after this date as space allows.
